Northern Quarter are one of the UK’s most versatile and unique wedding and events bands. They play the best in pop, rock, dance, folk, and hip hop with a unique style and line-up including double bass, twin sax, guitars, male vocals, and drums.
If you’re looking for a festival style wedding band then Northern Quarter are the band for you! They are a reliable and professional five piece based in London. With Mason on Sax, Jamie belting out the vocals, Byron strumming the guitar, Will slapping that bass, and Chris smashing those drums, these guys don’t take themselves too seriously. They know how to get your guests going from start to finish and love the energy of an awesome crowd!
Wow! What a great and talented bunch of lads! The professionalism and talent oozed from the first communication, from the management to the individual band members! They made our special day so incredible, accommodated our unique requests from doing an acoustic set for the ceremony to helping with the secret waiters to giving some backing vocals and encouragement to my brother. They travelled all the way to the Isle of Man too!
Imagine Mumford and Sons playing a Rihanna song at Glastonbury festival, then breaking into an Ibiza mash-up played by the Foo Fighters. Thats the kind of vibe you can expect from Northern Quarter, along with a few sax solos for good measure! They’ll be playing a floor filling mix of classic and contemporary songs for you, each with mass sing-and-dance-along appeal.
Festival Style Wedding Band
Northern Quarter offer two distinct styles - folk and electric. This can help make your party or wedding a mini-festival as it's like having Mumford and Sons for your support band and Bruno Mars for your headliner!!
Acoustic Folk Style
First off is their folk inspired mix of music from bands such as Mumford and Sons, The Lumineers, and Paulo Nutini, with an unorthodox sprinkling of some songs you might not be expecting. Lets just say if you aren’t a fan of Justin Bieber, these guys might just change your mind with one of their toe tapping covers! Using a line-up of acoustic guitar, double bass, drums and sax the band throw their own vintage spin on all the pop hits.
Electric Rock and Pop Style
The band have also nailed a repertoire of classic and contemporary chart tunes which they play in their own upbeat way. Whilst making sure all the songs they perform are played well, the band believe if you wanted to hear the record exactly as the original, then you’d hire a DJ. They like to put their own unique twist on many of the songs in their repertoire such as their rocked up version of Boom Shake The Room! Another favourite is their ska version of Brown Eyed Girl, where audiences will get a change to hear brass in stereo when singer Jamie whips out his own sax to rival Mason's!
